Clarence Schawk To Receive Leonard Holzinger Award
Press release from the issuing company
(May 2, 2003) IPA, the Association of Graphic Solutions Providers, has announced that Clarence W. Schawk has been selected to receive IPA's most prestigious honor, the Leonard Holzinger Award. Clarence Schawk is chairman of the board of Schawk, Inc., a leading provider of digital brand image management solutions to the consumer products packaging and advertising and promotions markets.
The Holzinger Award is given selectively to someone who has exhibited exemplary service and distinguished leadership. Recipients of the award have unselfishly contributed their time, talent, and energy toward the substantial progress of IPA and the industry it serves. The award will be presented on May 13 at the IPA Technical Seminar being held at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza, Chicago.
Commenting on the award, Hank Hatch, past IPA president, said, "Clarence is a very special person who has contributed so much to the industry, to the Association and to the lives of those with whom he has come in contact. Without a doubt, he has earned the recognition and admiration of his colleagues and is especially deserving of the Leonard Holzinger Award. He exemplifies all that this honor stands for, and it has been my good fortune to have known and worked closely with Clarence during the years I was with IPA."
The Award presentation will kick-off the IPA Technical Seminar and the first-ever North American Color Proofing Roundup. During the Seminar, in addition to examining new technologies and issues related to workflow efficiency, attendees will have an opportunity to review dozens of color proofing solutions while watching eighteen vendors output a suite of PDF/X test files.
