Exstream Software Announces 2003 Dialogue Visionary Award Winners

Press release from the issuing company

April 29, 2003 -- Exstream Software, Inc. announced today the winners of the 2003 Dialogue Visionary Awards. Awards were presented at the second annual Dialogue User Conference held in Lexington, Kentucky April 7-9, 2003. Dialogue is an enterprise personalization solution that combines personalized document creation, campaign management and tracking, and multi-channel delivery in one easy-to-use software suite. Winners were presented in five categories, including Best Designed Application, Most Significant Return on Investment, Most Personalized Application, Most Improved Time to Market and Most Sophisticated Application. The Best Designed Application award was received by Prinova Technologies, a leading provider of systems integration and professional services for customer communications. Prinova used Dialogue to produce a highly personalized, consolidated financial statement for McDonald Financial, a division of KeyCorp. Dialogue's flexibility and ease of use allowed McDonald to include over 12 different product offerings in their statement for high net worth individuals, eliminating the need for multiple statements. Dialogue's Dynamic Charting module, used to create data-driven pie charts and line graphs, along with the Campaign Management module, which dynamically incorporates highly targeted 1:1 marketing and informational messages at run time, allowed McDonald to personalize each customer statement and provide timely, relevant information based on specific customer profiles. W.A. Wilde Company, a direct marketing service provider based in Holliston, MA, received the Most Significant Return on Investment award for a marketing booklet prepared for Viacord, a Boston-based firm which harvests and stores newborn's umbilical cord blood for treating cancer, genetic diseases, blood disorders and immune deficiencies. Using Dialogue, W.A. Wilde produced a highly personalized, customer-specific booklet for Viacord's direct mail campaign targeting expectant mothers. The campaign tripled their response rate. Prior to implementing Dialogue, Viacord was using a standard marketing kit comprised of a personalized letter and numerous brochures and inserts. Dialogue's high performance engine, which allows companies to process documents 80 times faster than other solutions, allowed the company to consolidate all of their marketing correspondence in one document and greatly improve workflow. Consequently, the cost per piece was reduced by 48% and the company saved over $65,000 per year in production costs. Technical Programming Services, Inc. (TPSi), a Tulsa-based computer output service bureau, received the Most Improved Time to Market award for a billing application it produced for an Arkansas gas utility company. Utilizing Dialogue's on-demand eFulfillment capabilities, PDF output of statements were placed on the Internet for secure review and approval prior to print. Customer service personnel were also able to view statements online from the preceding three months, saving time when answering billing questions. Furthermore, Dialogue's ability to support a full range of output formats allowed the company to use AFP and Metacode output for immediately printing statements upon approval, once again speeding time to market. Marsh Affinity Group Services received the Most Personalized Application award. Based in New York, Marsh is the world's leading risk and insurance services firm. Using Dialogue's Advanced Campaign Management and Tracking module, along with information generated from their data warehouse, Marsh Affinity was able to produce 360 personalized letters and 28 enrollment forms for use in a direct mail marketing campaign. These personalized documents incorporated the insured's status, previous coverage information, HMO data, rate comparisons on four plans and the percentage of savings for each plan. The campaign response rate was increased by 24 percent. The Most Sophisticated Application award was presented to Household Consumer Lending, a leading provider of consumer loans, credit cards, auto finance and credit insurance products in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada. Household used virtually all of Dialogue's robust capabilities to customize over 3,000 loan documents. Dialogue's Dynamic Data Access (DDA) module capabilities are being used to provide real-time transactional processing of loan documents to over 1,400 PCL printers throughout Household's retail network. Household, which is chartered state by state, is also using Dialogue's Regulatory Support module to manage content by effective dates and jurisdictions, ensuring that appropriate business and government compliance requirements are automatically included in loan documents. Because Dialogue supports a full range of output formats, Household was able to produce documents for high-speed mail equipment using AFP output and TIFF files for imaging purposes. Furthermore, Dialogue's High-Volume Delivery module is being used to “household,” or group loan documents and sort by zip code, improving workflow and saving the company significant postage costs. “We are extremely pleased that our customers are taking advantage of Dialogue's flexibility and ease of use to improve customer service, reduce their costs and enhance productivity in a way that is impacting their bottom line,” said Davis Marksbury, president and CEO of Exstream Software. “These customers are testimony to the fact that Dialogue is truly the most comprehensive solution on the market for enterprise personalization.” The Dialogue User Conference is held annually to provide customers with an opportunity to network with other users and learn new ways to utilize Dialogue software to increase productivity, improve customer service and grow their business. Over 120 customers and partners from around the world attended the event which was sponsored in part by IBM, HP, APT Digital, IMDS, and Prinova Technologies. The 2003 keynote speakers included Tom Spitale, principal of Peppers and Rogers Group and a highly sought-after consultant for Fortune 100 Customer Relationship Management initiatives, and Pat McGrew, principal, McGrew and McDaniel Group, Inc. McGrew is a specialist in high-volume computer output.
