Heidelberg Previews Gutenberg Festival 2003 Highlights
Press release from the issuing company
KENNESAW, Ga., April 28, 2003 – Heidelberg USA will highlight its latest advances in printing equipment and technology – from prepress to finishing – at the Gutenberg Festival 2003. The largest industry tradeshow and expo on the west coast, Gutenberg takes place in Long Beach, Calif. at the Long Beach Convention Center, May 1-3.
Located in booth #905, Heidelberg will showcase more than a dozen presses, accessories and workflow stations, including its NexPress 2100 Pro, Quickmaster DI Pro and 78ED finishing equipment. Making its west coast debut will be the Quicksetter 300, a fully automatic CtP system for polyester plates that connects a Heidelberg state-of-the-art MetaDimension front end to a well-established marking engine. The new Quicksetter enhances productivity and will improve quality and efficiency for small commercial printers and franchisers.
“For more than 150 years, Heidelberg has served the graphic arts and print communications industry by providing solutions and tools that help our customers succeed and grow prepress, press, postpress, digital and web offerings,” said Niels Winther, president and chief executive officer of Heidelberg USA. “At Gutenberg, Heidelberg will highlight many of the manufacturing and workflow solutions that enable more productive and seamless operations.”
A variety of Heidelberg experts will be on hand at the show to highlight solutions and services that help customers create successful printing and graphic design businesses. Donn Goldstick, Heidelberg’s Senior Regional Vice President of Pacific South, will participate in a panel discussion of the future of the graphic communications industry. Entitled "The Supplier's Perspective on the Print Communications Industry - Solutions for Printers In Today's Business Climate," the panel discussion is scheduled to take place Friday, May 2 from 10–11 a.m. in room #102A at the convention center.
Visitors to the Heidelberg booth can also learn more about Heidelberg’s Business Development Services, which uses training, consulting, sales and marketing assistance to help Heidelberg’s digital customers integrate digital printing with traditional offset printing solutions.
