EFI Partners with Litho Supplies to Distribute Velocity OneFlow
Press release from the issuing company
FOSTER CITY, Calif.--April 24, 2003--Electronics For Imaging, the world leader in imaging solutions for network printing, today announced an agreement with Litho Supplies to distribute EFI's Velocity OneFlow PDF-based prepress workflow system. Litho Supplies, the leading supplier of consumables, equipment and services in the UK, will sell Velocity OneFlow through its national sales force, backed up by regional technical specialists.
Designed for commercial printers, quick printers, trade shops and in-plants, Velocity OneFlow brings together EFI's acclaimed Fiery interface and most advanced color management solution with complete prepress capabilities to provide custom workflow automation for both offset and digital printing environments. The system allows centralized job and device management to deliver accurate color, improve overall document quality, reduce turn-around time and increase productivity and efficiency.
"Velocity OneFlow adds power, productivity and efficiency to print shops by offering advanced digital prepress capabilities integrated into one application, on one computer, enabling print shops to save time and money while processing jobs more quickly and accurately," said Robin Colla, EFI Senior Sales Director for Europe. "Litho Supplies has an impressive track record in bringing powerful new products to UK companies, and we are confident that their printing industry expertise and reputation will provide for a rapid route to market for Velocity OneFlow software."
"Velocity OneFlow's range of advanced capabilities represents the perfect, low cost opportunity for a comprehensive prepress workflow system," said Steve Dodds, Sales Director at Litho Supplies Electronics Division. "The beauty of Velocity OneFlow is that it enables the likes of small to medium-sized printers, as well as other users, to easily master the prepress management process without the massive capital investment often required for proprietary prepress systems."
Introduced at the Graph Expo show last October, Velocity OneFlow earned a "Must See" award by a panel of leading industry consultants and trade magazine editors as one of the event's most compelling products. Velocity OneFlow also ranked among the top three solutions in Seybold Publication's Fall 2002 "PDF Workflow Shootout," a comprehensive evaluation of how well different PDF workflow applications handled a set of challenging files in a print production environment. Velocity OneFlow software has been deployed at a number of beta test sites at leading European digital printing companies where both 4-color offset and digital printing services are offered.
Litho Supplies will begin selling Velocity OneFlow through its national sales force in May 2003.
