April 11, 2003 -- IPA, the Association of Graphic Solutions Providers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alfred G. Rundle to the newly created position of director of membership development. Rundle's primary responsibility is to maintain a close relationship with IPA members to ensure the Association is developing relevant programs and services that meet the evolving needs of its membership. As the graphic communication industry continues to undergo revolutionary change, it is more important than ever that IPA understands the challenges facing its members. Through his day-to-day contact with IPA members, Rundle will identify critical issues and provide enhanced communications among members. His efforts will allow IPA to help its members make more informed decisions-resulting in increased revenue and improved profitability, which can make the difference between success and survival in today's volatile business environment. Commenting on the addition of Rundle to the IPA staff, Steve Bonoff, IPA president, said, "Al Rundle is a results-oriented professional with more than 30 years of diversified experience in sales, marketing, and management. His extensive experience will be a tremendous asset to IPA as the Association paves the way for its members to develop new revenue streams and move into new markets." Rundle joins IPA with a broad range of successful Business-to-Business marketing and sales experience at both the tactical and strategic levels. Boasting a 31-year career with Southco, Inc., he began his career as a field sales engineer but advanced to serve in a variety of Southco leadership positions, including marketing and advertising manager, director of corporate communications, and director of distribution sales. His experience spans the spectrum from product development and brand management to advertising strategy and product promotion and design. Rundle has been an active member of the Business Marketing Association, the Mexican American Business Alliance, the Philadelphia Export Development Association, and the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.
