BETHESDA, Md.--April 1, 2003-- Oce today announced that Captiva Software Corporation (www.captivasoftware.com) has officially certified the Oce DOKuStar Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR) for use with with InputAccel, Captiva's premier document capture software solution, on a worldwide basis.
Oce DOKustar is a simple-to-use software product, which enables document capture vendors and service bureaus to classify the document type and extract required data- even if the document has never been seen before.
Multiple applications running Oce DOKuStar and Captiva InputAccel to classify and route incoming mail for banks, and for tax processing are in production in Europe. The certification now makes the capability available in the U.S. as well.
The latest features available with Oce DOKuStar include advanced Table Reading, Address Reading, Fuzzy Database Lookup, Optional Handprint and Validation. Oce DOKustar incorporates the award winning Oce RecoStar Professional OCR engine, which is used in the majority of forms processing applications. Oce RecoStar Professional is considered the engine of choice in mission-critical applications.
