Docucorp Portal for ASP Customers Provides Access to Outsourced Print Jobs
Press release from the issuing company
DALLAS--March 25, 2003-- Docucorp International, a leading provider of enterprise information solutions, has developed an online portal, which provides access to outsourced print jobs, for its Application Service Provider (ASP) customers.
"The ASP portal enables customers to monitor their outsourced print jobs, with the ability to view job status, print preview, an archive and inventory controls. In the past, variations of these features were available, but they were available through separate Web sites that utilized different user IDs and passwords," said Kerry K. LeCrone, Docucorp's senior vice president of ASP. "Now only one user ID and password is needed to access these features via the portal, and to ensure security restrictions, each user's profile defines which services and jobs that user can access."
The ASP portal, which simplifies the way customers can check the status of their jobs online, includes the following features:
* Job Tracker - allows customers to follow the status of their print job, including number of transactions, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Within this feature, print jobs can be searched by job code or date received.
* Hosted Archive - provides customers with a repository of all printed documents. The ASP customers can extend access to these documents to its customer service representatives, its distribution force and even to the end consumer. Those with access can retrieve exact replicas of documents sent to a customer and re-print or e-mail them.
* Print Preview - allows customers to preview their documents before they are printed.
* View Inventory - enables customers to monitor the paper stock inventory, allowing for better management of supplies. The inventory feature shows the item number, description, quantity on hand, and the location.
Docucorp's ASP solution offers customers a fully outsourced solution for the formatting, processing, production, delivery, archiving and workflow management of enterprise information via its ASP centers, which host proprietary information software and feature state-of-the-art production equipment.
