Creo Highlights Workflow Innovation at The Charlotte Show
Press release from the issuing company
The Charlotte Show, Charlotte, NC — (March 13, 2003) – Creo Inc. is demonstrating workflow innovation for prepress and converting professionals at The Charlotte Show which begins today. Highlighted by demonstrations of both the Brisque and Prinergy workflow solutions, Creo is showing how production managers are increasing productivity while drastically reducing turnaround time. Creo is also showcasing the Synapse InSite Internet portal, the Integris and Veris high-quality color proofers, and the iQsmart scanning solutions in booth #1229 from March 13-15.
Saving Time Proofing Jobs
The Synapse InSite Internet portal from Creo integrates seamlessly with the Prinergy Powerpack and Brisque Pack workflows, making online communication between the converter and their customers very convenient, and shrinks the length of production cycles in the process. The Synapse InSite Internet portal allows users to submit jobs and proof them remotely. From wherever customers and service reps have access to the Internet, they can submit print jobs, track progress, proof, collaborate with creative and production staff on changes, receive up-to-minute job information, and approve work –all on-line and in a secure environment.
Scanning Made Easy
The new iQsmart flatbed scanners from Creo produce high-quality color scans in-house. With productivity ranging from 30-40 scans per hour, iQsmart scanners deliver high resolution, consistent sharpness and quality, regardless of the original's size. The oXYgen scanning application allows for total control over the scanning process, which helps meet the demands of converters and trade shops.
Proofing Solutions
Creo is showcasing the Integris proofing solution, a new line of proofers that integrates leading inkjet printers with Creo workflow and color control. Integris proofing solutions deliver color-managed digital contone proofs that accurately predict the final printed job and provide an ideal solution for printers looking for high-quality, affordable, creative, imposition or layout proofing.
The innovative Veris proofing system uses the Multi-Drop Array inkjet head for high image quality and consistency. High quality proofs are produced with a controlled stream of dots that are precisely formed and placed with a true symmetrical resolution of 1500 x 1500 dpi.

Powerful Packaging Workflow Products
Creo is demonstrating the Prinergy Powerpack 2.1 and Brisque Pack workflows that streamline, automate and add value to packaging-file production for offset, flexographic and gravure trade shops and converters. Version 2.1 of the Prinergy Powerpack workflow includes new features for flexography, including vector distortion and 7.5° screening; enhanced trapping and color management features; and integration with the Pandora packaging and label step-and-repeat solution. The Pandora solution uses Job Definition Format (JDF) to pass step-and-repeat information and job data to the Prinergy Powerpack workflow.
