Vertex Network Solutions Breaks The T-1 Price Barrier
Press release from the issuing company
NEW YORK, NY -- March 13, 2003 -- Vertex Network Solutions Inc. today announced a marketing alliance with Backbone Communications Inc. (BBCCOM) to provide dedicated T-1 service at historically low prices to small and mid-size companies. Vertex's "New Generation Network Service" extends Vertex's V-TotalSM managed service offering -- a set of technologies and services developed for Internet-based collaboration. This includes the ability to securely transfer large files over the Internet, at a very affordable price.
Vertex CEO Graham Murray said "The New Generation Network Service can combine voice, data and Internet Access, which costs less and is easier for companies to support. Affordable Internet Access is necessary and especially relevant for customers who want to upgrade to dedicated T-1 speed from their existing service, or who don't have enough bandwidth with their current Internet connection to use it simultaneously for file transfer. Customers may also want to switch purely for cost savings: The new Vertex service saves business customers 50% - 70%."
