Baldwin Elects Rolf Bergstrom to Its Board

SHELTON, Conn.--Feb. 21, 2003--Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. announced today that Rolf Bergstrom was elected to the Company's Board of Directors at a Board meeting held last week. Mr. Bergstrom, age 60, is a citizen and resident of Lyckeby, Sweden. He currently serves as Chairman of the Boards of three private Swedish companies, including Emotron AB, makers of products for electric motors, Metget AB, marketers of radio frequency identification products, and Processprodukter AB, an engineering services company. He is also a member of the Board of three other Swedish companies, Gramineer International AB, a biotechnology company, Roxtec AB, makers of seals and pipes, and Marka Pac AB, a plastics manufacturer. He serves on the Chamber of Commerce in South Sweden, on the Boards at SE-Bank in Karlskrona and Ronneby, and is a member of the Advisory Board at the University of South Florida. Mr. Bergstrom has 27 years of combined experience in various positions at three Swedish companies. He was responsible for R&D center strip products, and production manager of wire production, as well as Business Manager for the tube business in nuclear applications at Sandvik AB. He was technical director with Uponor AB, a plastic pipe business. At Perstorp AB, he served in several senior executivefunctions from 1985 to 1998: from division manager for the site infrastructural units in Regeno; to Managing Director and Chairman for PERGO, where he was also the inventor of the concept of "Pergo" laminated flooring and greatly expanded the worldwide business of that company; and as President of the surface material group. Mr. Bergstrom received his Engineering degree at Orebro Engineering School and continued his studies in technology at the Royal Institute of Technology, where he also lectured in plastic forming.
