ALEXANDRIA, Va.--Feb. 5, 2003-- Digital Paper Corporation(TM)--a leading provider of innovative document access and collaboration solutions--today announced that it has joined the Siebel Alliance Program as a Siebel Software Partner and has successfully validated its integration of DigitalPaper docQuest 5.1 and Siebel eBusiness Applications version 7.5. Siebel Systems, Inc. is a leading provider of multichannel eBusiness applications software.
Digital Paper products revolutionize document access and collaboration by making mission-critical product, facilities, and asset information instantly available to users across the extended enterprise without requiring a massive IT infrastructure.
Siebel Systems provides organizations with a proven set of industry-specific best practices, CRM applications software, and business processes, enabling corporations to sell to, market to, and serve customers across multiple channels and lines of business.
The integration of Digital Paper and Siebel eBusiness Applications helps companies drive revenue and improve customer satisfaction through increased operational efficiency. By ensuring that field service representatives have the right version of all supporting documents for each service ticket and enabling them to view and annotate documents using wireless devices, the number of repeat service visits is dramatically reduced. With this validation, customers of Siebel Systems and Digital Paper have a fast, cost-effective, and bandwidth-friendly way to view and collaborate on mission-critical documents across the extended enterprise.
"Field service organizations, call centers, and self-service help centers all rely on mission-critical documents to provide a complete solution for the customer. Field service workers on the move need immediate, secure access to these documents to maximize productivity and improve customer satisfaction. Digital Paper is partnering with Siebel Systems, the leader in eBusiness applications software, to provide Global 2000 companies with a leading document access and collaboration solution that helps companies increase revenue, cut hard dollar costs, and increase customer satisfaction," said Christopher Fountain, CEO of Digital Paper Corporation.
Digital Paper extends the value of Siebel eBusiness Applications by providing an alternative to the current static document attachment and transfer method used for viewing images and files. Digital Paper enables immediate, secure, Web-based access to the right documents, including engineering drawings, PDFs, and other documents. This solution supports desktop and wireless deployments and helps customers of Siebel Systems to compress operating cycles, cut costs, improve worker productivity, and increase customer satisfaction.
"The integration of Siebel eBusiness Applications with DigitalPaper docQuest 5.1 offers Siebel Systems' customers a seamless solution to access relevant documents from within the Siebel eBusiness Applications user interface," said Catherine Cherubino, Executive Director, Alliances at Siebel Systems. "This enables customer service representatives to quickly access documents related to their customers, allowing companies to more effectively serve them."
The integrated solution delivers rapid ROI with a URL-based integration. A document or a collection of documents (DocPaks) in Digital Paper is represented by a URL. By clicking a customized button provided on the Siebel Systems screen, the user can attach these URLs to customer records such as a service request or order. The URL then appears as an attachment to the record. When a user clicks on this attachment, the document is retrieved from Digital Paper and made available to the user screen.
Digital Paper provides a pure Web-based architecture to provide the lowest total cost of ownership and to maximize scalability. Only a Web browser is required for searching, viewing, annotating, and printing documents.
Siebel Systems forms alliances with proven technology leaders to deliver tangible business benefits throughout the enterprise. By choosing Siebel eBusiness Applications and validated partner solutions, Siebel Systems' customers can pursue a best-of-class software acquisition strategy.
