Wood Dale, IL and Lier, Belgium (February 3, 2003) - Xeikon today launched the 7th edition of the Xeikon Diamond Awards. This competition awards the best jobs printed on Xeikon equipment. An international panel of judges reviews the entries and winners are honored with a Xeikon Diamond Awards Trophy, including a real diamond from Antwerp, the world capital of diamond trade.  The Xeikon Diamond Awards has become the most famous and longest established award event for digital color printing, with participants from all over the world. The Contest The Xeikon Diamond Awards is a unique opportunity for Xeikon digital color printers to show the world what they are achieving every day, producing high quality, innovative and profitable digital printing applications.  Over the years, the entries have shown the evolution of digital color printing and demonstrated the increasing quality, diversity and innovation of digital printing applications. Open to all Xeikon customers worldwide This year, and for the first time, the Xeikon Diamond Awards is open to all digital printers using Xeikon equipment, branded Xeikon DCP, Agfa Chromapress, Nilpeter or otherwise. Participation The Xeikon Diamond Awards has no entry fee and participation is easy. Xeikon printers select their best Xeikon print applications, based on criteria such as quality, business story, novelty aspect or unique Xeikon features. These applications are sent to Xeikon before April 11, 2003, with the necessary forms and detailed description. A professional jury will judge all the entries and select the winners in each of the categories: Printing On Demand, 1:1 Marketing, Unique Xeikon Features, Labels & Packaging and Self Promotional Printing. One Overall Best Winner and the winners within the different categories will be awarded with a Xeikon Diamond Awards Trophy. The second and third winners from each category will be awarded with a Xeikon Diamond Awards Reminder Trophy.
