Bolder Graphics Inc. Buys a Speedmaster 40inch 10 colour perfecting press

January 24, 2003 -- Kevin McCoy, president and CEO of Bolder Graphics Inc. announced today the purchase of a Heidelberg Speedmaster 40” 10 colour perfecting press. The new press is loaded with features including CPTronic, Alcolor Vario System, Preset Feeder, Grafix Powder Spray, Ink Temperature Control and Autoplate.
In addition to the press, McCoy also purchased a new Prosetter Violet Light Computer to Plate Setter, a Polar-Cutting System with prejog and scale, and a Stahl Map Folder manufactured specifically for large form folding and map applications.
This implementation of new equipment into the Phoenix Press operation (a division of Bolder Graphics Inc.), is the first of several planned additions to convert one of Calgary’s oldest and reputable printers into the top leader of the Alberta Printing Industry.
The equipment which is one of the largest sheetfed installations in western Canada is en route to the Bolder Graphics Calgary plant, and will be installed in January. “We are confident that Heidelberg will have us completely up and running quickly,” says McCoy, “we want to have a show and tell for the print buyers by the end of the January or early February.
