DAYTON, Ohio (January 15, 2003) -- Standard Register announces the appointment of Julie McEwan as public relations manager and Cheryl Van Leeuwen as Fulfillment Services marketing communications manager. Both report to Laurie Spiegelberg, vice president of corporate communications. In her role, McEwan serves as company spokesperson and is responsible for developing and implementing media relations, advertising, community relations and corporate branding programs for Standard Register. Prior to joining Standard Register, McEwan served as director of corporate communications and senior public relations consultant for HSR Business to Business in Cincinnati, Ohio. Additionally, she served as media relations manager at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton for nearly 13 years. She earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Miami University. Van Leeuwen is responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing communications strategies and programs to promote the products and services of Standard Register's Fulfillment Services. Van Leeuwen brings more than 12 years combined experience from LexisNexis where she held positions in both sales and marketing. She also brings prior sales experience from Procter and Gamble. Van Leeuwen earned both an MBA and a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Dayton.
