New auto color balancing technology minimizes user maintenance by self-diagnosing the printheads and consumables usage on a periodic basis -- for instance, when the toner has been changed or after a certain number of prints -- and self-adjusting the settings for continued optimal output without the need to print color scales or test sheets. Additionally, the 7820 and 7830 offer increased engine performance with powerful 450 MHz and 600 MHz processors, new standard job accounting software, and improved monthly page volumes of up to 100,000 pages for the 7820 and 150,000 pages for the 7830. In addition, enhanced duplexing capabilities -- standard on the 7820dxn and 7830dxn models -- reduce paper and consumables use, while lowering per- page print costs.
