PIA Leadership Institute: Real World Solutions for Todays Challenges

Press release from the issuing company

ALEXANDRIA, VA (January 20, 2003) — The Printing Industries of America, Inc. (PIA) announces that it has developed a unique management training program, the Leadership Institute, to develop high performance leadership for the graphic communications industry. "Everyone faces challenges today, from the seemingly basic tasks to the business-critical issues encountered by company presidents, owners, managers and others. The Leadership Institute offers a highly personalized program for attendees. Each attendee will have the opportunity to participate in a new feature only found at the Leadership Institute called Independent Problem Solving. This allows attendees to work confidentially with instructors on real world challenges," says Mary Garnett, Vice-President of Education and Training at PIA. The program is designed to leave attendees with an enhanced skill set to help them address the many issues seen everyday in the print business. There are two tracks: one for those new to management, and another for seasoned managers. Both tracks have a group of core courses to address basic issues. A variety of offerings round out each track, giving attendees the opportunity to select topics of interest to them or areas where they want to build their skills. "We expect all types of company personnel to attend the first track: front line managers, those great performers (your next generation of leaders), the gurus of customer service, production, pre-press, sales and marketing. The second track is perfect for owners, presidents and people who were past attendees to the prestigious Executive Development Program. We encourage anyone who is emerging as a leader at your company to attend and reap the benefits of our program and help your company change the face of 2003," Garnett continues. The Leadership Institute will be held April 2-6, 2003 at the Hickory Ridge Conference Center in Lisle, Illinois just 20 minutes from Chicago’s two major airports. Tuition is $1800 for residents as well as commuting students.
