Society for Service Professionals in Printing Appoints Denise Pons as New Director

January 8, 2003 -- Denise Pons has been named the new Director of the Society for Service Professionals in Printing (SSPP). Pons will manage the society’s programs that support members working in a variety of positions within the printing industry that include customer service as part of their jobs. She will continue the work of SSPP to strengthen member job skills through the development of products, programs, and services customized to meet the needs of printing service specialists. She will also manage SSPP’s membership recruitment effort and the society’s new online education programs. Debbie Ayres, SSPP’s Vice-President, said of Pons’ hiring: "We’re very excited to have Denise here at SSPP. She brings with her not only considerable industry knowledge and experience, but also an impressive array of talents and abilities in budgeting, and management stemming from her own experience in the printing industry." Pons was the former Director of Awareness Programs at the Printing Industries of America and the Membership Marketing Manager of the Document Management Industries Association. She also previously was an account representative for Balmar Printing and Graphics. Her career, from 1982, encompasses experience in sales and management, as well as extensive involvement in the graphic arts industry.
