Go2Paper adds ability to buy and sell sheet paper in the Paper MarketPlace
Press release from the issuing company
OAKLAND, CA- (February 19, 2003)- Go2Paper, a leading provider of e-business tools and services for the global paper industry, announced today the ability to buy and sell sheet paper in the Paper MarketPlace located at www.go2paper.com.
As the largest online MarketPlace for printing and writing paper, Go2Paper, located at www.go2paper.com initially focused on providing services to buy and sell roll paper inventory. However, due to their growth and success over the past year, along with customer’s requests, the company decided to expand their services to include sheet stock.
Mike Conran, Go2Paper CEO, said, “One of our goals early on was to provide the tools to allow our members to buy and sell all types of printing and writing paper. Adding sheets to the Paper MarketPlace was something we’ve always wanted to do but were concerned about increasing the complexity. But, after six months of careful development and member feedback, I think we achieved our goal by adding sheets and keeping the web site simple to use.”
The Paper MarketPlace includes such companies as Quebecor World, RR Donnelley, Stora Enso, xpedx and many, many more buyers and sellers. One member, Camelot Paper, is pleased to see the addition of sheet inventory. Bob Carlisle, President, said, “We are excited about this expansion into sheets as it provides us another channel to buy and sell sheet inventory. Go2Paper is a great MarketPlace and it just keeps getting better.”
