httprint Names Marc Fors as CEO, Mark Porter Now Chairman

February, 20, 2003 -- (WhatTheyThink.com) -- httprint has named Marc Fors as CEO and president replacing founder Mark Porter. Mark Porter is now Chairman. Sources say the transition occurred several weeks ago. Reached late yesterday, Marc Fors said an official announcement is expected soon. httprint began in 1996 as Landmark Productions, a full-service print management company. Renamed httprint in January 2000, the company launched e-procurement technology and merged it with their traditional print management to provide a more complete solution for their customers. Last year, httprint secured over $16 million in new funding. The company is mostly backed by Cornerstone Ventures, Investcorp and Bertelsmann Capital Ventures. Marc Fors has more than 25 years of experience in the print industry. Previously he was CEO of Sheridan Books Inc., a book printing and distribution company in Ann Arbor, Michigan. From 1993 to 1997, Fors served as CEO of American Signature Graphics Inc., a print and publishing company in Greenwich, Connecticut. From 1990-1992, Fors served as chief operating officer of Quebecor Printing (USA) Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts. From 1986 to 1990, he served as executive vice president of Maxwell Graphics Inc. Fors began his career with R.R. Donnelley. He held several positions in his 11 years with the company, including vice president of sales and marketing.
