Chuck Gehman Joins Printcafe as Director of Product Marketing

PITTSBURGH, PA (December 18, 2002) Printcafe Software, Inc., the operating system for print, today is proud to announce the addition of Chuck Gehman as Director of Product Marketing. Gehman was formerly executive vice president and CTO of Printable Technologies, responsible for technology and marketing for the firm, and before that was vice president at Digital Art Exchange (DAX), a pioneering industry Application Service Provider. Chuck was the creator of PrintPlanet.com, the popular e-community for the graphic communications industry.
"Throughout his career, Chuck has played a strategic role in bringing new technologies to market in the graphic arts industry. That expertise will be a key asset for Printcafe as we continue our mission to help our customers improve their profitability", said Andy Schaer, Senior Vice President of Marketing. "His insights and experience will add greatly to our product vision across the spectrum of Printcafe applications for both printers and Fortune 1000 companies which use our products.
Mr. Gehman currently serves on the steering committee for the Research & Engineering Council of the NAPL and is the chairman of the council’s Digital Smart Factory committee. He also serves on the boards of TAGA, the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts, and PrintTalk, the printing industry e-commerce consortium affiliated with CIP4. Mr. Gehman has written numerous articles and papers for publications such as GATF World magazine and the GATF Technology Forecast, High Volume Printing, Publishing and Production Executive (now PrintMedia), Graphic Arts Monthly and Canadian Printer. In addition, he has spoken at numerous industry conferences including Print 01, TAGA and Seybold Seminars.
