ALEXANDRIA, VA (October 29, 2002) – The Web Offset Association (WOA), a special industry group of the Printing Industries of America (PIA), has announced its call for entries for the 5th Annual Harry V. Quadracci VISION Award, which is conferred to that heatset web offset industry executive (printer or supplier) who has reached an unsurpassed level of excellence and achievement in the industry – a leader who has gone far beyond the standard obligations to become a dominant force in shaping the business of heatset printing. This award is dedicated to the spirit of those industry pioneers whose hard work and determination have created a vibrant, growing and changing industry. Past winners have included: Harry V. Quadracci, president and founder of Quad/Graphics, Inc.; Roger Perry, former owner and chairman of Perry Printing; and John Frautschi, board chairman of Webcrafters, Inc. In 2002, there were two winners - Thomas Brinkman, Sr., founder, Metroweb Corporation and Edward Barr Chairman, Sun Chemical Group B.V., To nominate an individual for the award, please enclose a letter briefly introducing the nominee. Include his/her name, title, company, address, and phone and fax numbers. Also include the reasons for nominating this individual for the VISION Award. The award recipient will be chosen by the selection committee and will be honored before hundreds of his or her peers at WOA’s Harry V.
