High-speed, High-quality Color Copier/printer Sets New Standard in Price-performance
VALLEY FORGE, Pa.--Oct. 7, 2002-- IKON Office Solutions, Inc. today announced availability of the Canon CLC 3900 copier/printer, targeting the growing number of businesses that require color in their daily document workflow. This high-speed, high-quality output solution boasts greater connectivity, color and job management, and finishing options than its predecessor, but at a true entry-level price point for the production space.
"In today's competitive business environment, color documents can offer an advantage," said Jeff King, Vice President of Product Marketing, IKON Office Solutions. "With IKON, customers may choose from a powerful array of color solutions to meet their needs. The addition of the Canon CLC 3900 offers a cost effective and highly productive solution to those customers looking to transition to digital color technology."
In line with its "best-in-class" solutions strategy, IKON will offer the 39 ppm Canon CLC 3900 with a variety of front-end systems from leading technology manufacturers. Customers can choose to leverage the IKON-exclusive EDOX document server, Canon ColorPASS-Z4500/Z5000 or T/R Systems MicroPress in order to fulfill advanced graphics workflow, variable data applications or cluster printing demands. Under any scenario, connected CLC 3900 systems will be implemented through IKON's Professional Services team, offering a complete range of solutions -- from basic connectivity, installation and training to customized application scripting -- designed to maximize productivity.
"As the largest independent distributor of Canon office equipment in North America and a value-added reseller of other industry-leading imaging technology, IKON has the knowledge and experience to ensure the seamless implementation of any business communications solution," said Cathy Lewis, Senior Vice President of Marketing, IKON Office Solutions. "With the launch of the CLC 3900, IKON can better capture the highest growth segment within the production market--high-speed, high-quality color at an affordable price."
Set to begin shipping in October, the Canon CLC 3900 was named a "Hot Pick" by Seybold Publications because, among its many other outstanding features, Canon's Finer Brighter Toner and Automatic Image Refinement technology ensure high-quality color output. The copier/printer also easily handles oversized paper and offers professional finishing options such as saddle-stitching to address virtually any application, including complete booklet production.
