Visual Systems Receives First Place Best Places to Work Award
Press release from the issuing company
MILWAUKEE – Visual Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of book components, overhead transparencies and ancillary products for educational and supplemental textbooks, has earned a "Best Places to Work in Milwaukee" award from Milwaukee Magazine for its superior benefits, above-market pay and unique employee perks. Visual Systems received first place out of 20 companies to be awarded the honor.
"Our organization was awarded first place in this competition because of our unique and innovative approach to ensuring associates enjoy their employment here," said Lorrie Wollersheim, human resources manager of Visual Systems. "Making them feel welcomed and appreciated, giving them the freedom to express their ideas and incorporating some fun activities during the day truly go a long way in keeping our associates happy."
Several criteria must be met for organizations to receive the "Best Places to Work in Milwaukee" award. Such criteria include: above-market pay; employee benefits; low turnover rate; perks and incentives; and work-life balance and family values. Other criteria that must be met include: employee diversity; community involvement; and company highlights with unique and innovative practices.
Visual Systems will be recognized for its achievement Oct. 30, 2002 at MRA, The Management Association, Inc. in Waukesha, Wis. during a reception and awards presentation.
