Bestcolor USA Announces SWOP Certification with EPSON Printers

- SWOP Certified Proofs Now Available with Best software -
West Chester, OH, October 2002-Bestcolor USA, the operating subsidiary of Best GmbH with responsibilities for the United States and Canada, now offers a SWOP certified proofing system. SWOP certified proofs may be produced using Best Colorproof? and Best Screenproof? version 4.6.3 software, and either EPSON 7600 or 9600 printers with off-the-shelf EPSON UltraChrome? inks.
In announcing SWOP certification, Bestcolor USA president Mark Geeves commented: "Bestcolor USA customers can now produce SWOP certified proofs using the standard EPSON UltraChrome inks that ship with EPSON 7600 and 9600 series printers. The Best technology permits SWOP certification with standard EPSON inks and papers, which means that customers are no longer required to use proprietary third party inks or media. This is consistent with our philosophy of keeping Best products in an open architecture environment with printer manufacturing partners."
