Standard Register Teams with Ricoh Silicon Valley to Market eCabinet System

DAYTON, Ohio--Sept. 4, 2002--Standard Register today announced an alliance with Ricoh Silicon Valley, Inc., (RSV) of Menlo Park, Calif., to expand Standard Register's electronic document management solutions with RSV's eCabinet content/document management system. The effort will further help firms improve productivity through the efficient use of information. The eCabinet integrated hardware and software system automatically captures and archives files from networked peripherals including scanners, copiers, printers, fax machines, PCs and other peripherals. It is designed to collect, protect and manage information assets-both paper-based and digital-merging them into a single electronic repository for secure access from any browser-enabled workstation on the network. Standard Register Document Systems will now sell and service eCabinet 1000 and 2000 series content/document management systems. Standard Register adds them to its suite of document automation solutions which includes document audit and analysis software; document design and print-on-demand services; distributed-print software; and a host of document automation equipment such as scanners, encoders, folder/sealers and thermal, laser and carbonless printers.
