RIT Delivers First Year Research Findings to Printing Industry Center Sponsors

September 4, 2002 -- Rochester Institute of Technology, a world leader in graphic communication education and applied research, will spotlight important enhancements to its printing programs as industry leaders convene for Graph Expo 2002. Representatives from the Printing Industry Center at RIT will conduct a media briefing during Graph Expo. The briefing, noon to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, will take place in room S501D of McCormick Place South in Chicago. The Printing Industry Center at RIT will present an overview of its findings from a series of in-depth research projects. Sponsors include the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and 16 industry partners. Within the past year, RIT realigned resources to put all elements of graphic communication education and research at RIT under one umbrella. Presentors for the Printing Industry Center at RIT press conference, hosted by Frank Romano, RIT‚s Roger K. Fawcett Distinguished Professor of Digital Publishing, include: Frank Cost and Patricia Sorce, co-directors of the Printing Industry Center at RIT Barbara Pellow, chair of RIT’s School of Print Media William Garno, director of the Printing Applications Laboratory Ken Posman, director of Industry Education Programs Question-and-answers will follow the presentations. Lunch will be provided for media members attending the briefing.
