Standard Register Names Dwiggins as Director, Manufacturing Excellence

DAYTON, Ohio--July 25, 2002--Standard Register announces that David Dwiggins has been appointed to the position of director of manufacturing excellence of the company's Document Management strategic business unit. Reporting to Rod Stone, Document Management's vice president of manufacturing, Dwiggins will help ensure the company achieves the highest levels of quality, service and efficiency in manufacturing. Prior to joining Standard Register, he was a manufacturing leader with Imerys, a global supplier of specialty minerals and mineral products with a U.S. operation based in Atlanta. His experience includes successful performance improvement in all areas of manufacturing, ranging from order entry through scheduling, manufacturing, and regulatory compliance to customer complaint resolution. Dwiggins holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, N.C. He, his wife and children will be relocating to the Dayton area from Birmingham, Ala. "Dave has over 20 years of engineering and manufacturing process-improvement experience, with demonstrated success," said Mark Little, president of Document Management. "Applying his expertise along with methods including Six Sigma and lean manufacturing, we drive to achieve operational excellence and further strengthen customer satisfaction."
