Wallace Recognized for Excellence, Pella Corporation Preferred Supplier

Press release from the issuing company

LISLE, Ill.--July 23, 2002--The Wallace company, a principal provider of label and other print management products and services, recently was recognized by Pella Corporation, one of the world's leading manufacturers of premium-quality windows and doors, as a preferred supplier. "Only about one percent of the suppliers earn this recognition," said Mark Hibshman, plant manager of Wallace's St. Charles, Ill., label facility. "We're extremely proud of everyone at Wallace who helped us achieve this goal for the third year in a row." A 100-point rating system -- based on material quality, timeliness of delivery, costs and cost savings activity, service, and documentation -- determines which suppliers are selected for recognition by Pella Corporation. To be eligible, suppliers must maintain an average of 85 points out of the possible 100 available for one year prior to being considered for preferred supplier status. Annually, Pella Corporation works with an average of more than 100 suppliers from the United States and abroad. "To qualify, a company has to be a leader in almost all of the selection criteria," said Brad Jungling, manager of supply management for Pella Corporation. Jungling noted Wallace received a rating of 98.75, making Wallace one of Pella's top suppliers for 2001. "We're very pleased and honored to receive this award," Hibshman said. "At Wallace, we take great pride in our ability to meet our customers' needs and provide a high-quality product."
