Gretag Imaging in Talks with Kodak Regarding a Minority Stake

Press release from the issuing company

March 27, 2002 -- Eastman Kodak Company and Gretag Imaging are in negotiations regarding certain commercial arrangements and the possibility of a limited minority equity investment in Gretag Imaging according to a statement released yesterday. Last November, Gretag Imaging and Oce reached an agreement for Oce to acquire their Professional Imaging Division, composed of Raster Graphics, Onyx Graphics, Cymbolic Sciences and ANAgraph. This Division developed products for wide format color inkjet and photo laser printing, including raster image processors (RIPs), for indoor as well as outdoor applications. The struggling equipment company has said that it was considering a private placement of stock to cover liquidity needs earlier this month. The statement gave no additional details and sources at both companies declined to comment further.   Gretag Imaging is headquartered in Regensdorf, Switzerland. They make imaging equipment and systems. The Group's products and services range from minilabs and central labs to Internet applications.
