Designed to satisfy the everyday needs for many worldwide offices, the compact and quiet AW1200 is the perfect office workhorse. The street price is expected to be $995. Intended for the home office, school, doctor's office, marketing/PR department, various corporate departments and the small business environment, the XANTE AW1200 can support and maintain a multitude of tasks. Fast and efficient, this latest XANTE offering has many characteristics that make it the ideal laser printer for any market. "Xante's goal in producing the AW1200 was to meet user demands for a small, quiet, resourceful desktop printer that has the features of today's workgroup printers,'' Robert C. The XANTE AW1200 will rely on Adobe PostScript 3(TM) for compatibility issues abounding in today's complex printing world. The XANTE AW1200 comes standard at 1200 x 1200 dpi, ensuring high quality graphics and superior text. Adding to its already potent arsenal, the XANTE AW1200 will feature printing up to A3/11" x 17''. Printing up to A3/11" x 17'' is an important product feature in the XANTE AW1200, especially in today's graphics and business market. With the ability to print on plain paper, transparencies, laser-quality labels, and other laser approved media, the XANTE AW1200 will be a versatile tool for a myriad of office and graphics needs. Weighing only 27 lbs. (12 kg) the XANTE AW1200 is lightweight and compact in size, outstanding for any desktop use. The IDT RISC processor coupled with XANTE's technology enables complex files to print at an incredibly fast rate. XANTE continues to make the workplace more efficient with its latest product by including a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet and IEEE 1284 Bi-directional Parallel connection. This support allows customers to take advantage of even faster networking capabilities. Graphics users will find many uses for the XANTE AW1200 as well. With Gamma Correction technology, the XANTE AW1200 has the ability to provide incredibly fine quality monochrome images. 1200 x 1200 dpi comes standard with the XANTE AW1200, making it perfect for critical printing jobs that demand detailed images. The XANTE AW1200 also comes equipped with one multi-purpose tray (100 sheets) and one universal paper tray (250 sheets). A third paper tray (250 sheet paper feeder) will be available as an option giving AW1200 users a possibility of 600 printable sheets. The AW1200 prints up to 12 ppm. A 5,000 print cartridge is included with the XANTE AW1200. The AW1200 will be available to US markets in early April.
