NetProof Makes Impact at Lehigh Press in a Digital Workflow

Press release from the issuing company

March 22, 2002 -- Cherry Hill, New Jersey -- New Jersey-based Lehigh Press, Inc. has grown to be one of the nation's largest privately-held commercial printers. Eric Roberts, Director of Lehigh's Graphic Technology has been leading Lehigh to a 100% digital workflow. NetProof is highly customized and optimized specifically for the use of Lehigh Press' valued customers. The development of Lehigh NetProof customizations was spearheaded by Eric Roberts. "Lehigh NetProof enables Lehigh customers to dramatically accelerate the critical, but often time-consuming revision/approval process," said Mr. Roberts, "while affording them considerable savings in both time and money. "So many people are involved in approving proofs, and one of the hardest things is to read a hard copy proof with comments scrawled all over, with some of them conflicting," says Roberts. "Lehigh NetProof implementation is a very customer-focused resource. We are constantly upgrading our eServices", said John R. DePaul, President of the Publishing Components Division. "Our customers need only click on the link that we send to them via email or log on directly at www.lehighpress.com, then just type in their password. Once onto their own NetProof page, customers can mark-up online any changes that might be required like revisions to copy, layout, type or a logo change." DePaul noted that while customers cannot directly modify the proofs, their revisions are clearly displayed in the dialog box for review by their colleagues involved in the approval process. All revisions are saved throughout the review process. "Lehigh customers have the ability to circulate soft proofs digitally, reducing the need for producing hardcopy proofs. Proofs can be viewed anytime and anywhere," he added, "eliminating the expense of faxing or overnighting proofs to various locations for review and approvals. The savings in time, energy and shipping costs will be considerable, and the productivity barriers imposed by long distance are eliminated." One of Lehigh's clients faced particularly daunting challenges to keep their businesses going in the current business climate. "There was no other feasible way to meet schedules, they were able to meet their deadline because of NetProof" Roberts says.
