TOTOWA, NJ, March 18, 2002 – Pitman Company, the leading independent North American graphic arts supplier, has announced the appointment of Peter J. Moore to the newly created management post of Senior Vice President, Branch Sales and Operations. He previously had been Vice President/Midwest Division of the company. In his new capacity, Mr. Moore manages all aspects of the company's 22 nationwide sales and distribution operations at the Branch/Regional level. "With this important new position we have significantly enhanced decision-making communication for our regional and branch levels at Pitman," said Joe Demharter, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pitman Company. "Peter brings outstanding management experience to the post and will be instrumental in assuring that our customers and manufacturers continue to have fast, easy access to the accurate information and complete support they can rely on to conduct business efficiently throughout the Pitman organization." Mr. Moore joined Pitman Company in 1991. In his eleven years with the company, he advanced through several posts of increasing executive management responsibility including Sales Manager, Branch Manager, District Manager, and most recently, Vice President/Central Region. Prior to Pitman, he held sales posts with Agfa and 3M Company. Mr. Moore is a graduate of Villanova University.
