February 28, 2002 -- PrintJob is pleased to announce the launch of the new PDF PrintJob Ordering Systems. These systems offer private and branded PDF print ordering for Print Brokers and Corporates.
PrintJob intends to respond to the growing number of companies who want to be responsible for their own data, and is therefore offering self hosting and open source software so that users can integrate the technology with other solutions. No longer will success in the printing business dependant on†the profitability of software companies.
For Corporates the functionality of the new software is comprehensive ñ online ordering, editing, proofing and tracking orders is a pre-requisite. New functionality includes employee and address management tools for auto completion of fields so that employees no longer have to type their details, and 'approval proofing' of PDF rendered print ready files to increase the efficiency of ordering.
Print Brokers will be able to create unlimited customers with any number of products. Managing orders and downloading print ready files with job sheets attached promises to eradicate the problem of high turnover low cost items such as business cards.
The system uses pre-designed PDF files, (templates uploaded by the printer or designer) which a user can edit and render to proof online. Non printable goods can also be installed.
