Best Software Expands Color Solutions to Photography Market

Press release from the issuing company

Krefeld, February 25, 2002 Best GmbH, solution provider for the print and publishing industry, has now also turned its attention to the photographic market. Best will be unveiling its photo solutions "Best Photo Edition" and "Best PhotoXposure" at the PMA (Photo Marketing Association International) in Orlando/Florida. The young German software house believes the photographic market has a key strategic role to play, since this is a sector where correct communication of color will be all-important in the future. To ensure these two solutions find favor with ambitious amateurs and professional photographers alike, they were developed with input from photographic associations and industry experts. Best Photo Edition The Best Photo Edition for Apple Macintosh (Mac OS 8.6 and later) has been developed for enthusiasts who not only need true-color output but also want to be able to predict how their digital images will look in print. Designed specifically for integration into a photographic workflow, Best Photo Edition meets the photographer's every need, covering everything from separation and proofing processes to reliable file transfer formats. The software is available in two versions – "Best Photo Edition M" supports inkjet printers with output formats of up to 17 inches, while "Best Photo Edition XL" can output in widths of up to 24 inches. Best PhotoXposure Because of its server functionality, Best PhotoXposure for Windows PCs is of particular interest for professional photographers with high image throughput. True-color image output and production coupled with process control when reproducing digital image data gives the photographer the same high consistency he is used to from film and transparencies. The software is available in versions M, XL and XXL. These different versions control printers of different format classes. Prices and availability The recommended retail prices are EURO 1,485 for Best PhotoXposure M, EURO 2,228 for Best PhotoXposure XL, EURO 2,970 for Best PhotoXposure XXL, EURO 464 for Best Photo Edition M and EURO 1,485 for Best Photo Edition XL (all incl.
