Press release from the issuing company
February 15, 2002 - Enfocus Software, a provider of PDF tools, has recently received the Golden Award in the 'Workflow Management of the Year' category of the acclaimed new Publishing Awards with PitStop Professional.
Established to recognize the excellence and innovation of solutions and products in the print industry, the Publishing Awards were introduced last year by Publishing to celebrate its 10th anniversary. They are sponsored by two well known and highly acclaimed magazine printers, Stephens & George Magazines and Pensord together with leading DRM Company Info2Clear.
Enfocus European Sales and Marketing Director, Patrick Van Dam, was delighted by the accolade: "Winning this prestigious award is a particularly gratifying honour for Enfocus and PitStop Professional because it is a recognition by the industry we serve of the quality and calibre of our leading PDF production tool."
Enfocus Software develops the world's leading PDF tools for powerful, rapid and accurate flow of PDF documents in graphic arts, Internet and ePaper markets. These powerful tools enable users to edit, check, verify and auto-correct PDF files with confidence. They run on any mainstream Windows or Mac OS desktop computer.
PitStop Professional won the Golden Award while Agfa’s Apogee Create won Silver and Markzware’s MarkzScout took the bronze.
Speaking at the Awards ceremony, Marc Sallis, Editor of Publishing and Chairman of the judging panel, said: "PitStop Professional is a product which not only appears to be setting the standard for preflighting within the industry, but one which is working in harmony with a host of other important and established workflows."
Apart from PitStop Professional, the company's product range includes PitStop Server and Instant PDF embracing the Enfocus Certified PDF technology. Instant PDF is Enfocus's entry-level PDF solution that facilitates the creation of Certified PDFs, while PitStop Professional is the all-in-one interactive editing and automated correction tool. PitStop Server, on the other hand, addresses the PDF editing needs of larger operations.
Enfocus also develops and markets other award-winning applications such as DoubleCheck, CheckUp for InDesign, and Tailor. Furthermore, the preflighting specialist extends the convenience of PDF editing beyond the professional prepress market with WebPerfect and PowerUp PDF.
