Minneapolis, MN, February 14, 2001 - MacDermid ColorSpan, Inc., a leader in the wide-format digital color printer market, announces the immediate availability of two new premium resin-coated photo base papers for use with its DisplayMaker line of wide-format printers; Satin Photobase PXS 9-mil and Glossy Photobase PXG 9-mil. The new media are constructed from a high-grade resin-coated 225 g/m2 photobase paper. Its heavier gauge gives it the look and touch of a real photograph while making it easy to handle, mount or laminate. Designed and manufactured by ColorSpan's Kilborn media operations in Cedar Rapids, IA, the new media have been optimized for superior quality using ColorSpan's EnduraChrome dye inks and DisplayMaker 8- and 12-color printers, however, both are universally compatible with most dye-based wide-format printers. The 9-mil satin and glossy photobase papers are available in 100-foot rolls with widths of 24, 36, 42, 50, 60 and 72-inches.
