Photography Studio Unveils Revamped Internet Presence: QuadPhoto.com
Press release from the issuing company
February 14, 2002 -- Quad/Photo has re-launched its Internet site, www.QuadPhoto.com, extending its brand identity as a creative, full-service photography studio. The site serves as a resource and aid for art directors and creative directors for catalogers, publishers, retailers and "e-tailers," direct marketers and other types of businesses.
Quad/Photo's tagline - Your vision, our focus: Images that stir the imagination and inspire your customers - welcomes clients, prospects and all other visitors to the new QuadPhoto.com homepage.
Market research and user testing conducted by Quad/Creative - which designed the new QuadPhoto.com and coordinated the site's development 100 percent in-house at Quad - helped determine the site's content, architecture and navigation. The result is an artistic, engaging Web site with intuitive global navigation divided into three primary sections and hierarchies: Portfolio, Artists and Capabilities.
"This Web site shows our ability to create bold, powerful images," said Cal Newby, manager of Quad/Photo. "We built it to be an appealing, visual site and one that will serve as a valuable resource for the creative professionals with whom we work."
The Portfolio section - featuring samplings in Food, Fashion, Environment and Product photography - illustrates the diverse talents of Quad/Photo's photographers and stylists. Visitors to the site can select photo thumbnails by category and choose to view a large, high-quality "fit to screen" image of any thumbnail.
Users who want to know more about Quad/Photo's talent can click on the Artists section, where they will find the biographies of all Quad/Photo photographers, stylists and studio managers.
The site's other major section, Capabilities, highlights the advantages of working with Quad/Photo and the studio's leadership position in regards to applying new technology to commercial photography. Sublevel pages in this section showcase Quad/Photo's network of seven regional photography studios, cutting-edge equipment and technology, Web-based collaboration and communication tools, and extended services provided through Quad/Graphics.
Enhanced presentations (e.g., using Macromedia's Flash software) throughout the Web site enhance the user experience.
Later this year, QuadPhoto.com will provide its clients with access to a suite of Web-enabled tools. These password-protected tools are intended to help clients run their businesses more efficiently and become increasingly involved in photography sessions and Quad/Photo's creative processes.
