Press release from the issuing company

RENTON, Wash.---Feb. 6, 2002-- iCopyright.com has announced that it has hired Bart Gutekunst as executive vice president in charge of corporate development. Gutekunst has extensive experience as an investment banker, equity investor and senior manager. As EVP, Gutekunst will help iCopyright continue to develop its market share through partnerships and other strategic initiatives. "I am very excited about the prospect of joining the iCopyright team as a full-time partner,'' said Gutekunst. "I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with the company as an outside consultant over the last several months, and I have seen firsthand the reaction by publishers to iCopyright -- I can't think of stronger validation. Even more compelling, I believe the opportunity exists to become the copyright licensing agency for all content, and I am eager to play a part in the further commercialization and deployment of our technology.'' "We are pleased to have Bart join our team,'' said Mike O'Donnell, President & CEO of iCopyright. "He brings a wealth of knowledge to our company that will be key as we accelerate our leadership position in content licensing for newspapers and magazines.''
