Ultimate Releases Full Plate 2.0 Spanish with Automated Ganging Workflow
Press release from the issuing company
Montreal, Canada—January 31st, 2002—Ultimate Technographics today announces Full Plate 2.0 now ready in Spanish for the Mexican and Latin America markets.
"Full Plate 2.0 introduces a high level of job ganging automation for proofing and printing. This is important for scatter proofing on large proofing devices but also for the small or medium shop that constantly combines different size jobs on the filmsetter or platesetter," said Joanne David, VP of Marketing at Ultimate, this new level of automation makes Full Plate an efficient solution to save material on all output devices in the same shop".
Full Plate’s Hot Folder workflow
Full Plate’s new automated Hot Folder workflow enables mixing various sizes of PostScript & PDF files, as well as Impostrip signature files, on the same plate or same large proofing device. With version 2.0, users can simply drop all images or files in one folder and Full Plate will automatically fill up the selected printable area. New automatic job ganging and printing features in version 2.0 allow the user to select either a minimum percentage of media coverage, time waiting (for example 10 minutes), minimum number of pages or any combination of these to trigger Full Plate to automatically print from the Hot Folder.
Full Plate interactive tools
Full Plate offers instant feedback, integrated viewing and document placement tools to insure that every square inch of film, plate and paper is used. Version 2.0 allows users to intervene manually with the plate on screen to add jobs or move images as desired with 100% precision using X-Y coordinates. Ultimate's Full Plate offers the necessary tools to handle the most complex jobs including: previewing and pre-flighting, document rotation, step and repeat, viewing in duplex mode, RIP only once, and even a special "Best Fit" calculator to automate the process.
Full Plate is available for both Mac and Windows NT for $1995.
