Press release from the issuing company

Lynnwood, Washington — ScenicSoft has released Preps 4.1, the latest version of its imposition solution that offers powerful digital layout and print management features. Considered the best in the industry, ScenicSoft Preps is the market leader in digital imposition. New features in Preps 4.1 include web-growth compensation, a new AppleScript dictionary (Macintosh only), the ability to export CIP3 PPF files with cutting data for POLAR cutters, CIP4 JDF output, completely redesigned print and preferences dialog boxes, PDF-native capacity and performance improvements, Adobe Acrobat 5.0 compatibility, and updated PostScript filters to support the latest revisions of popular Adobe applications, and QuarkXPress 5.0. In addition, Preps 4.1 builds on and further improves many noteworthy new features that were introduced in Preps 4.0: a true PDF-native workflow option, auto-centering and auto-scaling of run list pages, a significantly faster previewer, and support for Heidelberg Delta List files. This makes Preps 4.1 the most complete, user-friendly, and best-performing Preps release to date. Long-time users will appreciate Preps’ new tabbed print and preferences dialog boxes, which provide easier navigation and eliminate unnecessary mouse-clicks, increasing user productivity. The new dialog boxes are part of an ongoing effort to continuously improve the Preps user experience. Efficient drag-and-drop capabilities, timesaving new file placeholders, and much improved template organization were introduced in Preps 4.0.
