Adobe Releases Dynamic Imaging Server Software

AlterCast enables companies that conduct a large portion of their business online to keep pace with accelerated Web publishing cycles. Designers can use AlterCast to customize images and automatically replace text within graphics, resulting in the ability to quickly create personalized e-commerce experiences based on individual consumer preferences. With support for open standards and APIs, AlterCast runs on major application servers such as Oracle9i Application Server, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, and iPlanet Application Server, and has attracted strong support from leading e-business and content management partners. Pricing and Availability Adobe AlterCast is available immediately in North America through Adobe Authorized Resellers, VARs and system integrators. The estimated street price in the United States for AlterCast is $7,500 (U.S.) per CPU, with a maximum of $60,000 (U.S.) for eight or more CPUs.
