IST America and Technotrans Complete Integration of Sheetfed Businesses

Bolingbrook, IL, - IST America has completed the integration of its sheetfed business operations with the Sheetfed Division of Technotrans America, effective 1 November 2001. The partnership is located in the Technotrans facility in Corona, California. In announcing the integration, Joachim Jung, IST America president, commented: "With IST specializing in ultraviolet curing and thermal drying, and with Technotrans expertise in fluid and temperature control as well as thermal drying, together we provide the printing industry with a significantly expanded product line and the opportunity to rely upon a single source for most sheetfed applications. IST sheetfed customers in the United States and Canada will henceforth be serviced by the new group." IST web, label, converting, packaging, automotive, metal decorating and industrial customers will continue to be served from the company’s Bolingbrook, Illinois, headquarters. IST America Corporation is the North American subsidiary of IST Metz GmbH, the premier manufacturer of ultraviolet drying and curing systems for graphic arts and industrial applications. Each IST ultraviolet system is engineered and manufactured to exacting specifications and rigorously tested prior to shipment. Since its founding in 1977, IST has produced more than 6800 ultraviolet units and more than 22,000 lamps, with some 80 percent in graphic arts applications. IST installations are in 56 countries around the world.
