Ricoh Launches Digital Wide-Format Multi-Functional System

WEST CALDWELL, N.J.--Jan. 7, 2002--Ricoh Corporation, the Dependable Digital output company, has launched the Aficio 470W, a digital wide-format copier that is upgradeable to a high resolution scanning and printing digital imaging system for CAD environments.
The Aficio 470W offers a remarkably compact design with digital multi-functionality and ease of use. In addition, Ricoh's new wide-format digital copying system features high productivity with quick copy speed and warm-up time.

Image-enhancing functions provide users with excellent reproduction results including Stamping, Overlaying Images, 25- 400 percent Reduction/Enlargement and Image Editing. Ricoh's innovative image-processing technology guarantees fast output at 7 D size documents a minute and top quality results at a high resolution of 600 dpi.
The user-friendly design of this wide-format printer allows for quick and easy operations from the front of the unit including toner cartridge replacement, three original output choices and a two-copy output location. An internal output tray, with a capacity of 100 D size sheets, affords further convenience in handling. The backlit touch screen operation panel offers customers fast, easy access to all required copying functions. Attractive paper feeding capabilities with a new and innovative type of roll replacement further enhances the user-friendliness of the Aficio 470W.
With the addition of the RW-470 controller, to be launched later this month, the Aficio 470W becomes a complete wide-format digital solution in one footprint. The Aficio 470W and RW-470 Controller are outstanding tools and an important addition to Ricoh's total solution product line.
