LIVONIA, Mich., Dec. 19 - Valassis has announced the promotion of Sandra L. Robinson to Vice President and Assistant General Counsel. This promotion recognizes Robinson's growing role in Valassis' businesses, including being an integral member of the company's mergers and acquisitions team. In addition to law and administration, Robinson's responsibilities also include human resources and the company's internal and external communications. Robinson has extensive experience in corporate law and business transactions having worked for Time-Warner and Warner Bros. Records and as a consultant attorney for The Walt Disney Company. "Sandra is an experienced and outstanding leader with ever-expanding responsibilities,'' said Barry P. Hoffman, Executive Vice President and General Counsel. "She brings a sense of commitment and dedication to everything she does and she will be an exceptional member of the Valassis Leadership Council.'' Born in Jamaica and raised in Toronto, Robinson holds law degrees from both the Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and the University of Georgia. She also has a master's degree in law from the London (England) School of Economics and is a member of the Michigan, New York, California and Georgia Bars.
