CreoScitex Advances Color Management with New ICC Color Workflow

Press release from the issuing company

BEDFORD, MA -- December 12, 2001 -- CreoScitex introduces the newest version of CreoScitex color profiling software, Profile Wizard Suite 2.1. This technology ensures that color information is of the highest quality and that it remains consistent from device to device during the production process. Profile Wizard 2.1 supports an open ICC color workflow and automatically generates ICC profiles for printers, monitors, scanners, and digital cameras. One of Profile Wizard's core features, DeviceLink Profile technology, solves a major difficulty -- preserving the black channel, especially for the black separation used for text. Profile Wizard's other new features include the generation of profiles from the standard targets Ksmart and IT8. The new application offers a friendlier user interface that simplifies the default profile creation. This version of Profile Wizard, now in beta testing, provides advanced editing tools in HLS, CMYK, RGB and Lab mode that allow users to edit and save profiles using previewed images. CreoScitex is also introducing Profile Wizard Lite, a new entry-level profiling application. Targeted at the novice user, the Lite version allows the creation of profiles through a very easy-to-use interface, without editing capabilities. Profile Wizard Suite 2.1 and Profile Wizard Lite will be available for purchase in late 2001 in North America through direct and indirect sales, and through Inside CreoScitex by calling 800-929-3590. Profile Wizard Suite 2.1 and Profile Wizard Lite will be available in the rest of the world in 2002.
