Press release from the issuing company
Continues distribution through Heidelberg USA
Name change and new alignment reflects expanded value proposition, new products
Denver, CO - November 19, 2001 -- Digital Works, Inc., the leading supplier of Web-based tools for the creation and production of customized and personalized marketing materials to the graphic arts industry, changed its name to ePrint Advantage to better support its expansion of people, products and services. ePrint Advantage has also merged its operations with Eagle Print Solutions, Inc. of Denver, Colorado. The merger allows Digital Works to build on its business model providing web-based software tools and sales and marketing training to commercial printing companies through product enhancement and expansion of their portfolio.
Renamed products and services
As part of the new alignment, ePrint Advantage will rename its current products and services to create space for new product announcements to be made by the end of this year. "We believe we have proven that going digital does work, based on our successes over the past four years. We needed an identity that better reflected who we are and where our business is headed," said Peg Ganger, vice president, Marketing. The company's focus will continue to be on Web-based products and services targeted to print service providers of all business models. The advantage provided to their customers will come in the form of an expanded product portfolio, a broader and more comprehensive application support program and market development to show print service providers how to build a profitable, sustainable business using their tools.
This merger leverages the best of both companies," says Jerry Dackerman, CEO of Eagle Print Solutions. "We are excited to be able to build on the momentum and relationships that Digital Works has with their products and their strong relationship with Heidelberg USA. We had planned to develop these products internally. With this merger we get faster time to market and the necessary resources to further develop these products and services."
"We are very pleased to join Eagle Print Solutions. a company with experience in the commercial printing industry and in developing and delivering web-based services to the marketplace. This merger allows us to continue our planned expansion of people and products," said Ganger. "The biggest winners are our customers who will benefit, through our growth, from their jump on the rapidly growing marketplace for web-based services. They will see immediate changes in increased sales and application support, and will benefit from our near-term investment in products, services and further expansion of sales and application support."
Continued distribution partnership with Heidelberg USA
In addition to the merger, ePrint Advantage has made investments in an expanded sales presence to support its customers, in enhancements to current products and in new product development. Through a partnership with Heidelberg USA, Heidelberg markets ePrint Advantage's e1 to1 Mail variable data printing products. Under the arrangement, ePrint Advantage's sales and support teams provide sales/marketing training and business development consulting to Heidelberg's Digimaster 9110 and NexPress 2100 customers. "We are very pleased with the partnership that we developed with ePrint Advantage," says Eric Frank, vice president, Digital Product Management, Heidelberg USA. "They have helped us place systems and helped our customers build their businesses."
"The Heidelberg USA relationship has been a three-way partnership for our customers, Heidelberg and for ePrint Advantage in the truest sense of the term. It has delivered results for all three parties involved and we look forward to expanding it in the future," said Ganger.
As a part of the merger, Digital Works has relocated its operations to Denver.
