Press release from the issuing company
ALEXANDRIA, VA ( November 19, 2001) -- IDEAlliance (International Digital Enterprise Alliance) -- formerly the Graphic Communications Association (GCA) -- has announced its agenda and keynote speakers for PRIMEX 2002, IDEAlliance's annual Print Media Executive Conference, to be held February 6-8, 2002 at the Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
Now in its 34th year, PRIMEX 2002 is the premier conference for print media executives. Each year important executives in the publishing, printing, and paper industries get an update on key macro-trends in the industry and discuss and determine approaches and strategies to enhance the competitiveness of the publishing industry and their own businesses. Building on the current market and economic condition in publishing, this year's theme is "Setting the Print Media Agenda: Initiatives to Survive and Thrive."
A key enhancement in the 2002 program is to provide a give-and-take between executives in a roundtable format. Phil Palmer, Major Account Manager, R.R. Donnelley, and chair of PRIMEX 2002 says, "We are setting a very hard-hitting agenda for this year's PRIMEX. We are designing the program so that it is more than "talking-heads." We want constructive ideas that business leaders can take back to their offices and to build an agenda for the competitiveness of our industry."
David J. Steinhardt, President & CEO of IDEAlliance said, "In the current economic condition of the publishing industry we must look to become more competitive. In the past, PRIMEX has been ahead of curve on building an agenda for the publishing industry - electronic data interchange, color management, postal distribution, and bar coding. In 2002 we plan take an aggressive look at where we need to lead this industry."
Key topics on the agenda at PRIMEX 2002 include:
