TopForm Software and Four51 Announce XML Success

Press release from the issuing company

Minneapolis, MN and Norcross, GA -- TopForm Software and Four51, Inc., leaders in providing technology solutions for print distributors, announced today that the companies have successfully passed XML data from Four51’s online eProcurement system into TopForm’s operations management system. The companies have been testing their initial implementation of their XML-based solution with MHC Companies, a Burnsville, Minnesota-based distributor. “TopForm and Four51 have been working together on this initiative since first announcing our intention to interoperate via XML in March of this year,” said Mark Osborn, Four51’s vice president of marketing. “We’re pleased to be working with TopForm to enable these capabilities, and we’re looking forward to exploring even more interoperability opportunities with Four51 and TopForm via XML.” XML, which stands for “eXtensible Markup Language” is becoming the standard language for Internet transactions between systems and applications. Both Four51 and TopForm have made investments in XML to help mutual customers and the market at large benefit from standards-based systems interoperability. “XML is emerging as the standard, and TopForm’s strategic partnership with Four51 will capitalize on this growing trend in our industry,” said Anthony Mullins, TopForm’s sales manager. “This solution provides powerful functionality on both ends for print distributors to manage and grow their online business.” Using the XML-enabled solution, distributors using Four51 and TopForm will be able to receive customer orders online via Four51, and then automatically pass the order data directly into TopForm’s back office system. “Linking Four51’s online eProcurement tools with TopForm’s operations management capabilities gives us the opportunity to leverage both systems fully, and create a more effective workflow,” said Marty Peterson with MHC Companies. “This new capability is going to create great efficiencies for us.” About TopForm Founded in 1975 as Computer Software Inc., they were one of the first companies to provide small and medium size businesses with affordable multi-user software solutions.
