Xaar Appoints Ian Dinwoodie as Operations Director

Cambridge, England; November 5, 2001 - Xaar plc, one of the world's leading inkjet technology developers, has appointed Ian Dinwoodie as Operations Director. With over 20 years of experience in high-tech operations, Dinwoodie brings a host of valuable knowledge to the company. A graduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Dinwoodie most recently worked as Director of Manufacturing for Fujifilm Electronic Imaging in the UK. There he was responsible for the manufacturing of high-resolution scanners, imagesetters and platesetters as well as associated software primarily for the commercial printing market. The UK operation was the only one of its type outside of Japan. Over the years Dinwoodie has held a variety of positions in engineering, quality assurance and manufacturing within the semiconductor, electronics and electronic imaging industries, during his tenures at Ferranti, Digital Equipment Corporate and SCI. Dinwoodie will spearhead the relocation of Xaar's Cambridge-based manufacturing facilities to the company's production Center of Excellence in Jarfalla, near Stockholm in Sweden.
