Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions Launches Publishing Finisher

(HiKIS), one of the leading providers of digital printers, has announced the launch of a new Publishing Finisher for the on-demand market. With its amazing versatility and production capabilities, the new Publishing Finisher offers booklet-making options to a wide range of users. The digital document production capabilities for high volume output support Center-folding, Saddle-stitching, Sheet Insertion (including tab stock), Trimming and Stacking. When this finisher is coupled with the DDP 70, high-end digital publishing is easily achieved at a very affordable price point. The Publishing Finisher is capable of keeping up with the 70 ppm throughput and the demanding 400,000 page duty cycle of the DDP 70 printer. This breakthrough price/performance opens up document publishing opportunities for operations from corporate department and in-plant production printing, to quick-printers, commercial printers and facilities managers. Features of the Publishing Finisher The Publishing Finisher is an on-demand digital publishing system designed for high volume production printing of black and white and color documents. The document production capabilities of the Publishing Finisher are well suited for fast-turnaround of Professional quality booklets such as sales and marketing collateral, training manuals, product documentation and on-demand book publishing. The Publishing Finisher will insert cover, tab(s) and/or insertion sheets that may be on different paper types, or pre-printed pages. This insertion is done post-fuser allowing the insertion of various media types and eliminating the risk of any fuser-related damage.
